American Saddlebreds you may know!
Highland Dale (aka Black Beauty or Fury)
Highland Dale purebred American Saddlebred was one of the most popular stars in Hollywood during his "hayday." Like many Hollywood stars who are known by their stage names, Highland Dale was known by his stage name - Fury.
Highland Dale starred in a number of major movies, including "Gypsy Colt," "Giant" (in which he co-starred with Elizabeth Taylor) and "Outlaw Stallion." He also had his own TV show called "Fury" from 1955 to 1960, and he guest-starred on shows such as "The Monkees," "Bonanza" and "National Velvet."
He could untie a knot, open a door, laugh, play dead, walk lame and whinny on command. He could even grab a boy by the back of his shirt and pull him backward. His most famous role, though, was that of the black Saddlebred stallion known as ... Black Beauty.

What Can you expect from an American Saddlebred
I think the main important attributes include a fantastic temperament that makes saddlebreds level headed & highly trainable. They also have amazing versatility & can perform well in multiple disciplines & activities. These were the main two things I was personally looking for in a horse, There are limited shows up here & I like to do a bit of everything so was looking for a horse that can do dressage, eventing, endurance & then still perform at shows or western. Their paces & movement are striking & they are elegant eye catching horses to say the least. They have been bred to be able to work in harness & also be easy & comfortable to ride.
Below are some photos of American Saddlebreds & Saddlebred crosses from Australia, I would like to take this opportunity to thank those people that were willing to share their photos of their beautiful horses.
